Join the Bar Keepers Friend Community!
August 26, 2020
Are you, like me, a fan of Bar Keepers Friend? If so, did you know we have a Facebook Group? Yep, it’s called the Bar Keepers Friend Community and we would be delighted if you joined us.
There are a plethora of reasons why every BKF fan should join the fun. Here’s why I think you should!
The Back Story
In the 1960s, my parents owned a grocery that had a small cafeteria attached. I grew up working there. The store not only sold Bar Keepers Friend, but we used it on everything. Of course, when I say “we” a lot of the time, I really mean “me.” Scrubbing pots, cleaning freezers, metal racks, and more.
My mom and dad were advocates of BKF. We not only used it at work but at home as well. I’ve been using BKF for a long time, and I’m a big fan. Actually, I’m more than a fan – I’m an advocate. For longer than I can remember, I’ve recommended BKF to friends, family, and coworkers. Need to clean those filthy hubcaps? Use BKF. Is it time to clean the mower before putting it up for the winter? Try BKF. Do you have a skillet you can’t get clean? It’s time for BKF. You get the idea.
Advocates and Evangelists
If you’re reading this, my guess is you’re an advocate of BKF like I am. Am I right?
Bar Keepers Friend retained me to help with their blog. Two of my rules for working with organizations are that I believe in what they do and that it looks fun. Yes, and yes, for Bar Keepers Friend.
When I began researching blog posts, I was amazed at what I found. When I googled, “What can you use Bar Keepers Friend on?” there were nearly 8 million results. 8 million! Some were from Bar Keepers Friend themselves, and retailers that sold BKF products. However, the vast majority of what I found were from folks like you and me. Advocates and evangelists.
I saw YouTube videos about how to use Bar Keepers Friend to clean your boat, grill, tools, and fishing lures. There were blog sites about house cleaning, home beautification, and outdoor living that all shared how to use BKF to make your life easier. There were thousands of before and after photos of pots and pans, chrome wheels, and yes, even the kitchen sink.
I should’ve guessed there would be so many of us, but I had no idea there was such a large fan base for BKF. It’s a big reason why the Bar Keepers Friend community exists!
Are You Ready to Join the Bar Keepers Friend Community?
If you’re an advocate of BKF, join our community. We want to hear from you! We want to see your BKF before and after photos, view your videos, and read your posts. And we want your feedback, opinions, and advice. Also, not to … ah … bribe you or anything like that, but we do have giveaways. During the last Friday of each month, we hold our Free Can Friday giveaway.
So, come join the fun. Tell us your story. Ask for advice from the community and offer your solutions. Tell us what problems you’ve solved using BKF. Let us know how you brought something back to life with one of our products. And then, reach out to us and let us know what you want from us!
Let’s have some fun!
